Dupuis Ford Lincoln launches its support for
« Breast cancer research »
To underline the launch of one of its major fundraising activities, the 6th edition of the « Mustang Poker Run 2010 », the owners of Dupuis Ford Lincoln in Casselman held a press conference on Thursday, April 8th, 2010, at 11 AM at their dealership located at 603 St-Isidore Street, Casselman.
Dupuis Ford Lincoln’s Mustang Poker Run 2010 will be held on Saturday, May 29th (rain date is Sunday, May 30th). This event is an innovative version that supports the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s Run for the Cure. “The goal for these events is to create a future without breast cancer”. As stated by the event’s spokesperson, Michel Dupuis, “The funds collected will go towards research”. Since 2005, the five events collected over $212,500 for the cause.

Participants in the Mustang Poker Run must, of course, drive a Mustang, either their own or leased. To register for the event, which will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010, participants can do so directly by internet www.mustangrun.ca,
at the Dupuis Ford Lincoln dealership (reception desk), or call their offices at 613-764-2994.
The ‘run’ will start at Dupuis Ford Lincoln in Casselman. Starting times will be from 8 am. Participants are asked to be on site 30 minutes earlier than their respective starting time to confirm their registration. For this 6th edition, the run will cover the Eastern Ontario region for a distance of nearly 230 kilometres. Participants must stop at each of the five stations to collect an envelope holding a playing card. These envelopes must be kept sealed until the end of the run to be opened only at the dealership. The participant with the best poker hand will win the grand prize. Over $8,000 in prizes will be awarded.
At the same time, a variety of family activities will take place on the premises of the dealership of Dupuis Ford Lincoln. During the afternoon, the “Show & Shine”, exclusive to Ford products, will be the place to admire those wonderful machines and “Ford talk” to their owners. Various contests and games are organized, as well as a used books sale, and a live band, Hometown, will entertain the guests with their good music. Since the outdoors activate the appetite, barbecue food will be available at very low prices. Prizes and kiosks will also be part of the family fun event!
The organizers hope to raise $55,000. To do so, 200 participants need to be registered. For the past ten years, Dupuis Ford Lincoln has participated in the CIBC-Run for the Cure cause. Since that time, in 2000, this enterprise collected over $212,500 in donations.
We invite the entire community to participate as well. Even if you do not participate directly to the Poker Run, you can show your interest in the cause by visiting the event site or by donating funds directly to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Your participation, your donation can make a difference in the ‘Run for The Cure’.
